The first IFH Club session focused on safe and trustworthy AI in mental health and healthcare conversations. The discussion highlighted several important directions in health AI, including methods for evaluating the quality and effectiveness of AI-mediated healthcare conversations, domain-specific safety design for mental health language models, and emerging tools for assessing chatbot behavior and clinical risk. The session also marked the beginning of a broader IFH effort to establish a regular multidisciplinary forum where researchers, clinicians, and students can engage in thoughtful discussion on the future of trustworthy health AI.
