Guest Lecture: Dr. Jenny Auxier — Humans, Computers, and Connection in Digital Nursing Research




IFH, in collaboration with the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing and the Office of Nursing Research and Innovation, is pleased to host a guest lecture by Dr. Jenny Auxier.

Digital technologies are rapidly transforming healthcare research, practice, and engagement. In this lecture, Dr. Auxier will discuss how nursing inquiry is evolving in response to this digital expansion, highlighting the intersection of humans, computers, and connection in modern health systems.

Dr. Auxier is an Assistant Professor in Applied Science at the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. She directs the Parent Engagement in Health Research Program, where her research focuses on integrating parent engagement into the development, design, and quality assurance of perinatal digital health services.

Her work examines how participatory approaches and digital technologies can improve healthcare experiences and outcomes, supporting more inclusive, effective, and human-centered health systems.
